What is the baggage allowance for children and babies?

The allowed baggage depends on whether the child travels with a child or infant ticket:

• Children (between 2 and 11 years old): will be able to bring the baggage included in their fare.
• Babies (under 2 years old): who are not traveling with an assigned seat can bring an additional piece of up to 10 kg (22 lb) of checked baggage free of charge, as long as the adult is traveling in fares classic, flex, business, M, L, or XXL. If the adult is traveling in fare basic, light, XS or S, the baby will not be able to bring baggage.

Other items you can carry:

Diaper bag or small backpack:

• If you are traveling with a baby and carrying a diaper bag, it will be considered your personal item.
• The maximum dimensions for this item are: 18 x 14 x 8 inches (height, length, width).
• Make sure it fits under the front seat.

 

Stroller:

• You can bring a baby stroller to the boarding gate at no additional cost. Strollers for babies and children up to 11 years old are allowed. From 12 years old, an additional charge will apply.
• If the baby stroller does not exceed 115 cm/46” in linear dimensions and weighs up to 10 kg/22 lb, it may be carried in the cabin subject to availability. Strollers exceeding these dimensions or weight must be transported in the aircraft's hold at no additional cost, for passengers under 12 years old.
• Please note that only one baby stroller per baby/child is allowed at no additional cost. If you need to bring more than one, an additional charge will apply.

 

Car seat:

• The use of car seats on our aircraft is allowed for infants (under 2 years old) at no additional cost on all our routes. The car seat must meet these dimensions: 27 x 14 x 17 inches (height, length, width) to be carried in the cabin. If it exceeds these dimensions, it must be checked as baggage and additional charges will apply.
• If it meets the stipulated dimensions but needs to be checked as baggage, our team will receive it and assist you in registering it as baggage at no additional cost.

Please note:

• Based on FAA regulations, on routes to and from the United States, including connections, car seats are allowed at no additional charge for passengers up to 18 years old. For cabin use, it must have the required certifications.
• It's important to note that the car seat must be approved for use on airplanes and must have labels demonstrating its “certification for motor vehicles and aircraft,” as specified by the FAA.
